DAILY RIDER  Lives in my saddle bag — charges my phone and GPS on every long ride without breaking a sweat

On a 40km morning ride, my phone handles navigation for route variations, Strava tracking, and WhatsApp notifications I shouldn’t be checking but do. On longer rides — anything over 60km — the phone battery is a genuine concern by the halfway point.

20000mAh is the right capacity

10000mAh powerbanks are lighter but give you one full phone charge plus a partial. For a three to four hour ride with active GPS and screen usage, that’s not enough margin. Weight and form factor

Real ride testing

Longest single ride tested: 82km. Devices charged during: phone (from 40% to 100% twice) and Garmin Edge (from 35% to 100% once). Powerbank remaining at end of ride: approximately 40%. Conclusion: 20000mAh is genuinely sufficient for a full day ride without stress.
